������Ƶ today announces the sale of its Imporium Unreal creative studio and Unreal Creator Platform to Yuga Labs. Imporium is an ������Ƶ venture which is a core contributor to the development of the Otherside metaverse for Yuga Labs and the Unreal Creator Platform is a toolset built on top of ������Ƶ’s core metaverse technology specifically focused on Unreal projects like Otherside.  

This exit marks a further milestone for ������Ƶ as a venture builder, proving its track record to incubate preeminent tech teams and scale them into high-value businesses. Yuga Labs will also acquire an ongoing license to ������Ƶ’s metaverse technology in support of the Otherside metaverse, while continuing to use the open standards and interoperability framework of ������Ƶ’s MSquared metaverse network for the Otherside metaverse.

The deal shifts Imporium’s development team directly to Yuga Labs. As the studio behind world-class digital experiences for global brands and sports leagues, Imporium has been the engine driving Otherside’s Unreal experiences.

������Ƶ’s ongoing metaverse efforts will be focusing on web technologies, such as the Somnia blockchain and web-based worlds enabled by MSquared including open source technologies. ������Ƶ will also be making targeted investments in AI creator tooling and the infrastructure for decentralised AI agents with applications in the metaverse and beyond.
